Top Wide Receivers - 2015 Daily Fantasy Football Rankings

Top Daily Fantasy Football WRs in 2015

The value of a wide receiver at top daily fantasy football sites like FanDuel depends on your lineup building strategy. At DraftKings, WRs get a full fantasy point for each reception, but the cost of the player against your salary cap is higher. At FanDuel, the WR only gets 0.5 fantasy points per catch, but the wide receiver salary is a bit lower.

Most wide receivers in fantasy football can’t be relied on for TDs each week as there are too many scoring options on the field. When we looked at creating this list of top 10 daily fantasy football wide receivers in 2015, we focussed on guys that will catch a lot of balls and get a lot of yards. The touchdowns will come - but you almost have to consider them a bonus when choosing your daily fantasy plays for the week.

2015 Daily Fantasy Wide Receiver Rankings

Antonio Brown1. Antonio Brown (WR - Pittsburgh Steelers)

Let’s be honest – the Steelers defense sucked last year and will probably suck again in 2015. This means that Big Ben will be throwing the ball a lot this year and Roethlisberger / Antonio Brown will once again be the QB / WR combo stack to play at daily fantasy football sites.

Julio Jones2. Julio Jones (WR - Atlanta Falcons)

Jones is already a fantasy football star, but 2015 is a contract year which means we should see even better numbers. Already part of a popular QB / WR stack with Matt Ryan, Jones is the #1 option in Atlanta, averaging 7 catches per game and over 100 yards receiving.

Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb3. Jordy Nelson / Randall Cobb (WRs - Green Bay Packers)

So who do you take? Both Nelson and Cobb had 90+ receptions last year. Nelson had 1500+ yards and Cobb 1200+ yards. Best advice - look at prices - they are usually similar in salary cap, but occasionally one gets dropped and becomes a better value play.

Odell Beckham Jr.4. Odell Beckham Jr. (WR - New York Giants)

It was the perfect storm last year when Victor Cruz went down to injury and Odell Beckham Jr. stepped up as the go-to guy. The Giants would like to see Beckham become the #1 and either have a solid number 2 with Cruz, or at some point after 2015, cut/trade Cruz to save salary.

Dez Bryant5. Dez Bryant (WR - Dallas Cowboys)

Bryant is Mr. Consistent... 2012 – 92 catches, 1382 yards. 12 TDs, 2013 – 93 catches, 1233 yards 13 TDs. 2014 – 88 catches 1320 yards 16 TDs. Bryant is the #1 WR in Cowboy Nation and Romo loves throwing to him. He should get a fantasy boost with DeMarcus Murray gone.

Ashlon Jeffery6. Ashlon Jeffery (WR - Chicago Bears)

The #2 WR in 2014 becomes the #1 wide receiver in 2015 for Chicago. Gone is Marc Trestman, but as we saw in Denver last year, new head coach John Fox likes to throw the ball a lot too. Jeffery has a great sync with Jay Cutler and will again be a solid weekly play at FanDuel.

T.Y. Hilton7. T. Y. Hilton (WR - Indianapolis Colts)

2015 could be a big year for TY Hilton! He’s in a contract year, he has Andrew Luck throwing to him, and he’s only getting better. The Colts signed Andre Johnson as a solid #2 so defenses can’t key in on Hilton in 2015 - this could be exciting to watch!

Demaryius Thomas Emmanuel Sanders 8. D. Thomas / E. Sanders (WRs - Denver Broncos)

Similar to Cobb and Nelson above - who do you play each week between Thomas and Sanders? It will depend on matchups. They combined for over 200 receptions, 3000 yards and 20 TDs and still have Peyton Manning under center. Be careful though, Manning is near the end.

Calvin Johnson9. Calvin Johnson (WR - Detroit Lions)

Talk has been about the Lions opening up the offense a bit and if that's the case, Johnson is still one of the most dangerous WRs in the NFL! Megatron can’t be stopped - look for Johnson to again be a fantasy football scoring machine in daily fantasy leagues.

Kelvin Benjamin10. Kelvin Benjamin (WR - Carolina Panthers)

A favorite target of Cam Newton’s last year - as a rookie put up a 1000 yard season. Benjamin splits receiving yards with TE Greg Olsen, making Benjamin drop in our 2015 wide receiver rankings.
