2017 Week 8 NFL Fantasy Picks and Lineups

2017 NFL Week 8 FanDuel and DraftKings Fantasy Football Picks

FanDuel and DraftKings Week 8 PicksAdmittedly there were some horrible NFL games with 3 shutouts and a field goal kicking fest. Throw in 4 teams that scored 10 points or less and we can write off last week’s NFL games as history.

Week 8 in the NFL again has some possibilities for lopsided victories and only one or two games that have the potential to be a high scoring fest on both sides.

Both DraftKings and FanDuel (our affiliate partners) have dropped the prize money for their two marquee fantasy football contests with the DraftKings Fantasy Football Millionaire dropping to $3.6 Million and FanDuel’s Sunday Million down to $1.5 Million. Still a good chunk of change and when you mix in a bunch of cash games you can make yourself a nice little bankroll on the weekend.

Once again we have below our FanDuel Football Picks and DraftKings Fantasy picks for NFL week 8 to play in the two big contests although the same fantasy players can be applied to cash games also.

FanDuel Fantasy Picks for the Sunday Million

QB – Quarterback Picks

Russell Wilson $7,900 – Wilson was great last week and this week faces a Houston defense that has been giving up points. Look for Wilson to rack up a bunch more while the Seattle offense tries to keep improving from early season struggles.

Carson Wentz $7,900 – Facing the 49ers look for Wentz and the Eagles to continue their offensive game plan. They are more of a throw first team and this should be a cake walk on Sunday.

RB – Running Back Picks

Melvin Gordon $7,900 - Gordon had a tough week last week but will face a weak defense in the Patriots. Tom Brady and Co. may be in for a letdown game after beating the Falcons last week and Gordon should get both runs and receptions.

Christian McCaffrey $6,300 – McCafferey almost is a better receiver than running back this season but James Stewart as a runner isn’t much better. McCaffrey should get plenty of play calls against a weak TB Bucs defense that has been giving up fantasy points to RB’s all season long.

WR – Wide Receiver Picks

Marvin Jones Jr. $6,100 – Golden Tate is banged up and Jones is getting the targets now. Facing the Steelers will be a tougher task but in another potential shootout game enough targets will eventually add up to a decent fantasy line.

Dez Bryant $8,300 –Bryant’s fantasy numbers seem only saved when he scores a TD. This week against the Eagles Bryant should be relied on a bit more than usual.

TE – Tight End Picks

Jordan Reed $6,100 – Reed has been banged up all year but he’s still getting fantasy points. A game vs. the Cowboys has the potential for a shootout and Reed should get some sneaky fantasy points for those that are willing to take a chance on his health.

Defense

New Orleans Saints $4,800 – Although Bears QB Mitch Trubisky may one day be good…it’s not happening yet. The Saints Defense has been pretty good lately and should get to Trubisky and cause some havoc which may result in a few turnovers.

Our FanDuel Picks can be used for their Sunday Million Contest with total prizes of $1.5 Million for NFL Week 8 all for a small $7 investment. Get in on the action here:

FanDuel Sunday Million

DraftKings Fantasy Football Picks for Fantasy Football Millionaire

QB – Quarterback Picks

Philip Rivers $6,300 –To beat the Patriots the Chargers will have to score. Rivers has the ability to put up a bunch of yards and facing a weak Patriots defense Rivers is a nice low price tag for the Fantasy Football Millionaire.

Kirk Cousins $6,400 – Facing division rival Cowboys at home Cousins should be once again tossing the ball. He has been underrated this NFL season but he continues to put up fantasy numbers each NFL week.

RB – Running Back Picks

LeSean McCoy $8,700 – The Raiders aren’t stopping anyone’s running game and although they aren’t getting torched they are giving up 100 yard games and TD’s. McCoy broke out last week and given the Bills are relying in the run…this could be a nice matchup.

Joe Mixon $4,700 – Being in a timeshare with 2 other running backs hurts Mixon but the Bengals seem intent on getting him the ball as much as possible. He doesn’t put up a ton of fantasy points but has the potential each week to break out. Facing the Colts this week that potential is a good one.

WR – Wide Receiver Picks

Keenan Allen $7,300 – Wasn’t used much in last week’s 21-0 win and was banged up so the Chargers probably game planned around him. This week will be all hands on deck against the Patriots and he’s a nice stack candidate with QB Rivers.

Julio Jones $8,400 – Fantasy players finally were rewarded with Jones last week with a line of 9-99 and a TD. If Atlanta is ever going to make a run this NFL season this may be the week to do it against a surprising Jets team. The Jets still aren’t good and the Falcons aren’t this bad. Jones could be let lose again this week.

TE – Tight End Picks

Hunter Henry $4,800 – 3 weeks in a row Henry has put up decent fantasy numbers and facing a weak Patriots team Henry is a cheap play as a TE or even a FLEX option. If you aren’t going to look at Rivers or Allen, Henry would give you nice exposure to this game.

Defense

New England Patriots $3,300 – I have looked and can’t find any other defense to pick. I looked at the Texans but you should probably stick with the Patriots this week.
