2017 NFL Week 12 Fantasy Football Picks
It’s Thanksgiving which gives us double the games for fantasy football. Well not really but it is nice to have Thursday to just sit and watch NFL games and following DFS lineups. Unfortunately for time reasons we only have made our FanDuel and DraftKings fantasy picks for the Sunday games so you are on your own for the Thursday games but I would suggest loading up on guys from the Dallas/Washington game and a few from the Steelers/Colts game. The Colts and Steelers opened up at an O/U of 53 but with Andrew Luck now out I expect Le’Veon Bell to probably get the most work out of anyone.
As for Sunday, we have our picks to use for the soon to be merged FanDuel and DraftKings duo. If you haven’t heard the news - then you really need to watch more ESPN, but for now it will be business as usual until sometime next year when the two sites become one under most likely the name DraftKings which seems to have the better brand recognition. FanDuel and DraftKings Fantasy Picks for this Week
QB – Quarterback Picks
Drew Brees - DK $7,100 - FD $8,600 – The Saints are still in a playoff hunt and playing at home against the Rams could be what Brees needs to put up a large number. The Rams defense is pretty good but I like Brees when he’s at home and at 7100 he’s a great price for your DraftKings lineup.
Russell Wilson - DK - $6,700 - FD $7,500 – The Seahawks seem to be running out of running backs so Wilson will have to continue to try to carry the offense. He’s a nice low price playing against the Bucs who can put up some scores as well so this could be a sneaky high scoring game.
Cam Newton – DK $6,800 - FD $7,800 – Newton hasn’t played like the reigning MVP but I expect him to put on a show against the Raiders on Sunday. This game will have a bunch of players picked as it is one of the higher expecting O/U on the schedule.
RB – Running Back Picks
DeMarco Murray - DK $7,700 - FD $8,300 - The Bears have lost 2 starters to PED suspension, lost QB Jay Cutler and were bad to begin with. I like the Titans to simply run Demarco Murray all day and just pound the Bears defense into submission.
Jay Ajayi DK - $7,600 - FD $8,400 – Although he hasn’t come close to his 200 rushing games from earlier in the NFL season he still is the main part of the offense and this week he gets to run against a bad 49ers team.
Thomas Rawls - DK $5,700 - FD $7,000 – Last man standing in the Seahawks backfield. Rawls is now the number one RB and will get probably 15-20 touches. I expect more of a passing day from the Seahawks but they have to run the ball at some point.
WR – Wide Receiver Picks
Mike Evans - DK $7,500 - FD $7,900 – Picking Mike Evans this week really comes down to – Do you believe he can out play Richard Sherman and win the battles? I vote “YES”.
DeAndre Hopkins - DK $6,300 - FD $7,000 – San Diego has a pretty good run defense so the Texans will have to throw more on Sunday. Hopkins has been underwhelming all year but I sense a breakout this week. At 6300 he is worth the risk.
Rishard Matthews - DK $5,800 - FD $6,200 – Mariota has started to trust his WR a bit more and playing against the injured Bears Matthews would be the only WR I would target in this game.
TE – Tight End Picks
Delanie Walker - DK $4,900 - FD $6,100 – As mentioned above, I expect the Titans to run all day but if they do throw Walker should be in line for some decent points.
Greg Olsen - DK $5,800 - FD $7,000 – I am expecting a shootout and Olsen is a favorite target for Cam Newton. He’s only had less than 7 targets in a game once so even though he’s been pretty average lately, this should be the week for a breakout.
Defense
Denver Broncos DK $3,700 - FD $4,900 – Kansas City Chiefs DK $3,200 - FD $4,500 – I don’t usually do this but both defenses are worth taking this week but given they are both playing against each other it becomes an interesting dilemma. Broncos have a better defense and are playing a Chiefs team that doesn’t score a lot. The Chiefs defense is pretty good and they are playing a fairly conservative QB. Chiefs are a $500 discount at DraftKings and $400 at FanDuel for your lineups but oddsmakers have the Broncos a 3 point favorite. The total O/U for the game is 39…pick one and hope you guessed correctly!
